Franchise Model Revealed — Grow with GlamBug & GemZy
On 17 April 2025, GlamBug announced its franchise model under the GemZy brand, opening a path for aspiring jewellery entrepreneurs to run a silver jewellery outlet backed by a wholesale supplier.
Updated October 2026 as a general guide to the model and to choosing a jewellery franchise.
This guide explains the three formats, what a franchise partner receives, and the questions worth asking before you commit to any jewellery franchise.
The brand behind the model
GemZy is GlamBug's retail brand. It brings 925 silver jewellery to everyday customers under the tagline "Silver, Too Lit", and its name is a registered trademark in Class 35. GlamBug leads on the wholesale side, and GemZy is the retail side the franchise is built around. Read how it started in our GemZy launch story.
Three formats
| Format | Built for |
|---|---|
| Kiosk | A compact, low-cost entry for high-footfall zones. |
| Small store | Boutique spaces with elegant displays. |
| Medium store | Established retailers with larger investment goals. |
Choosing a format is mostly a question of space, footfall and how much you want to invest. A kiosk lets you test a location with a smaller commitment, and a store gives room for more designs and a fuller display.
What a partner gets
Each format includes:
- Access to GlamBug's imported catalogue. The designs come from our long-term suppliers in Italy, Turkey and Hong Kong.
- Brand support. You open under a brand that is already registered and known to customers.
- POS tools. The in-house POS system for quotations, billing and orders.
- National supply consistency. The same catalogue and the same supplier behind every outlet, so a customer finds the same quality in different cities.
The vision
The aim in the announcement was to create 12 to 15 strong distribution points across India, run by new-age silver entrepreneurs with trust and profitability in mind. A small, selective network is a deliberate choice: each outlet gets support rather than competing with a crowd.
How to judge any jewellery franchise
Whoever you consider, check these before you sign:
- Who owns the brand? Look up the trademark registration. We explain how in our guide to verifying a silver supplier.
- Where does the stock come from? Ask for the suppliers, the purity marking and the hallmark registration.
- What is in the agreement? Read what you pay, what you get, who sets prices, what happens on exit and how long it lasts.
- How is stock supplied and replaced? Ask about minimums, delivery times and what happens to unsold stock.
- Who supports you? Ask what training and tools you get.
- Talk to existing partners where you can.
Franchise or reseller?
If you want to sell silver jewellery with less commitment, you do not need a store. You can sell online through dropshipping without holding stock, buy wholesale through the B2B app, or build your own label through white label.
